About A Hundred and One Uses of a Dead Cat

Fortieth anniversary edition of a perennial favourite an original and very practical guide...

Since they were first published in 1981 Simon Bond's extraordinary 'Dead Cat' series – A Hundred and One Uses of a Dead Cat, A Hundred and One More Uses of a Dead Cat, and Uses of a Dead Cat in History – have sold over two million copies.

When it first appeared nearly forty years ago A Hundred and One Uses of a Dead Cat – the original and greatest of Bond's paeans to moggy mortality – introduced a brand of hilariously dubious cartoon humour that, though often imitated, has never been bettered.

Simon Bond

Simon Bond (1947-2011) was born in New York. He grew up in Nottingham and went to art college in Worthing. He was a stand-up comic and founded the cartoon magazine Squib. He was very fond of cats.
