Howard Goorney was an accomplished writer and The Theatre Workshop Story amply demonstrates the talent. His was a unique position from which to observe Joan Littlewood's ground-breaking approach to theatre prodution and the emotional peaks and troughs that resulted. The book's revival will be welcomed by a great many people.
